Music Therapy Internship Application

The Louisville Center for Therapy and Personal Sustainability (LCTPS) is a private practice that provides community-based music therapy to the Louisville Metro and Surrounding Areas. Successful internship applicants will be working in mental health settings and community programs with children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, under the supervision of the board certified music therapists on our team. This unpaid internship position requires travel to various community sites and locations in the city, so all applicants must be valid and licensed drivers.

Flexibility for the Working Intern: While this internship remains unpaid for the time being, LCTPS offers the same flexibility it would offer a team member in private practice. So long as clinical duties and team-based and collaborative schedule requirements are being met, independent time is yours to organize as you need. Many interns use this flexibility to maintain a part-time job during internship. We at LCTPS recognize your unique position as an unpaid intern, and work to create learning-work expectations that are appropriate and fair in light of this.

What about time off and other conflicts?: Just like any member of our team, Interns are more than welcome to take time off for vacations, performances, or any other prior commitment, so long as they provide adequate notice per our company's policies. Time taken off can be added to the end of internship to ensure hour requirements are met.
